In the fall of 2017, the Cemetery Infant Sculpture will be unveiled inside the Oakland Cemetery near the dedicated Baby and Infant Lot. The memorial project will honor those lost and comfort those remembering their loved ones.
Local artist Deb Zeller met with John Olson and Public Art Commission members to discuss the importance of adding this memorial to Oakland; Hope.
You can find the maquette in different places around Hutchinson, starting at the City Center. Keep up to date on the Maquette Location on our Facebook!
Funding for this special sculpture is provided by a generous SMAC grant, The Oakland Cemetery, The Public Arts Commission, and donations and pledges of local individuals. If you would like to support the funding of this artwork, please connect with Public Works Manager, John Olson.
