David Hyduke

 Luce Line / Pedestrian Bridge

$7,000

“My work has predominately been cast in bronze having operated my own foundry for the past 35 years. Previously, the largest content of the sculptures explored the interrelated qualities of organic forms and the human figure.  Organic themes explore the fundamentals of the natural world such as the origins of life, growth and decay, while figurative themes go beyond to various physical representations of the human spirit such as music and dance. Though I continue to work in bronze, I’ve recently been working in sheet metal also. I have found fabrication to be a natural extension of my modeled clay pieces as they are often hard edged with clearly delineated planes. “

$12,000

“We depend on science to guide us, but art is the reason to go. We need a little mystery and danger in our lives to spur us on, to take chances and achieve great things.”

“I am a mixed media sculptor who combines a diversity of imagery into hybrid sculptures that explore cultural contexts between people. I use vintage toy and folk art aesthetics to explore the passing down of cultural values between generations. I make hybrids that capture the audience’s eye and hold their interest via my craftsmanship and attention to detail.”

Paloma

Richards Poey

Luce Line / Riverside Park (RiverSong Area)

www.mnartists.org/rpoey

$8,000

“My artistic themes focus on beauty, love, and the interrelationship between people. Gesture and movement are an important part of my work.  PALOMA was inspired by a photograph by Howard Schatz.  I found the pose was so remarkable that I could hardly believe the human body in motion could do it. My sculpture is actually an interpretation of the famous Argentine-born ballet dancer, Paloma Herrera. She had a unique control of her body, which choreographers and directors loved.  It was intriguing to watch Paloma digest the music and wrap the movement around her. She worked in musical phrases, not typical musical counts.”

Jon Kamrath

 Citizens Bank & Trust Park

www.kamrathsculpture.com/

$9,500

“Taking inspiration from surrounding nature, I use organic lines to visually reference various trees, plant and animal life and express these features in a uniquely stylized manner. My sculptures often contrast dark, distressed steel components with bright, clean aluminum panels featuring a custom ground surface rich with visual energy and movement. The organic feel of the steel juxtaposed with the aluminum creates a striking visual, constantly changing and evolving with the position of the sun or the viewer. I especially enjoy making sculptures fully interesting in the round, creating dynamic compositions that inspire the onlooker from every point of view around the entire piece.”

Craig Snyder

 Ridgewater College – North Entrance

www.fireshapes.com

$8,400

“Craig was bitten by the metal bug in the 00s and has since done numerous sculpture and public art pieces and commissions. He works mostly with steel, but also mixes in stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum, stone and wood into his sculptures. Craig has an affinity to color and often will use paint and vibrant patinas to create eyecatching and interesting pieces. Currently he is learning to weld aluminum and has also started with ceramics where he recently participated in a Raku firing.”

$4,500

“I cultivate my sculptures like a careful farmer, invoking the forms of nature because they are my kin. Using industrial fabrication skills, I impart to them a reality beyond my limited understanding. To do this requires not only consideration but craft as well.”
“This awareness is present in something as fundamental as the material I choose. I use weathering steel because you can’t fight entropy. Instead, I seek to direct it. By using the rust that is inevitable, I create something which speaks for generations.” “Dawn is a 5′ tall fabricated Cor-ten steel sculpture representing a hand reaching skyward.”

$19,000

““Exciting”, “Engaging”, and “Fun for all” are just a few of the public comments about the artistic works created by CR Gray of Key West, Florida.”
“Pretentious, garish, and obtrusive are not words within my artist vocabulary. Whether I am working in steel, stucco, or stone, my creations come from the heart, inspired by Americana, with genuine modesty and an eye to engage all. It is my goal to make sculpture that easily appeals to most everyone, bringing a smile to your face whether eight or eighty.”
