Artist Statement
My goal in the pursuit of making art is to reflect upon and represent the underlying, spiritual reality of things. Often the truly important things in life can pass us by. Moments in which we transcend our limitations and act bravely or heroically can disappear due to the sheer rapidity of life. I strive to capture, to suspend these moments so we can reflect upon them and let them interact with our lives in a meaningful way. My hope is that when people see my work, they can see themselves or some aspect of their lives reflected and that their spirit will respond.
